If you don't know us, Sawicki Studios is a husband & wife team with me (Jen!) and Chris. Our studio is located in Amsterdam, NY, but we serve the entire Capital Region from Albany to Saratoga Springs, NY. Chris specializes in High School Senior portraits, we both photograph weddings together and now do only a limited amount of baby/children/family portraits to try to keep up with the demand of our growing senior portrait and wedding business.
Chris is a master of lighting. His images are always way out of the box, cinematic and unlike anything you've ever seen. He is without a doubt a photographic "Rockstar" in this area! I like using as much natural lighting as possible, staying simple, yet beautiful, clean and timeless. This is why we make such a dynamic team! For more about us and our work, view the website at www.sawickistudios.com.
This was one of the coolest photo shoots Chris has ever done! One of our 2010 brides wanted to do a “Trash the Dress” session. Not just a traditional trash but a DESTROY the dress session. It was a ton of fun, we even hired Best Bytes Media to create an awesome promo video. I’ll start the blog with said video.
Tara is so sweet and Jim is just an overall super cool guy and it goes without saying that they are an incredibly gorgeous couple! Tara was yet another one of our brides with FABULOUS shoes!! As someone with a shoe obsession, seeing shoes like Tara’s makes me very happy The threat of storms and rain remained all day- yet they never came. Everything was perfect the entire time we were there- until we were driving home and lightning gave us an insane light show!! (as well as some downpours) The timing was perfect and it was without a doubt an amazing day. The band IMI played and were AWESOME!! Ceremony and reception was at The Appel Inn.
Erin wore purple shoes and has a decked out Yankee’s Mustang convertible. Need I say more?! The day of their wedding was the first time we met Scott but it was so apparent how amazingly well they compliment each other. Their day was fun, stylish and though we had some very humid weather, everything was perfect! We went to downtown Schenectady for some shots of the two of them and encountered a quite memorable lady (who kind of scared us actually lol) But it was SO worth it!! Ceremony and Reception at Mallozzi’s.
Heidi is just one of those people you instantly love! The beautiful wedding of her and Phil was so laid back and casual and made for a great, relaxing time for everyone. The theme was of course country and the elements made for very unique photo opportunities- which we of course love! And come on, a John Deere cake?! How cool is that?! Ceremony & Reception at The Olde Tater Barn.
Despite their day falling on a hot day, (it IS summer time- and in NY!) everything fell together perfectly. Such a wonderful couple and the reception was quite a party!! What more can we say, they were awesome! Ceremony was at “A Wedding in the Country” and reception was at the Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs.
Desiree & Mark are awesome- what else can I say?!! Their wedding was insane. The Hall of Springs filled with some of the most amazing decor and lighting I’ve ever seen. DJ Mike Garrasi from Music Man Entertainment had the party slammin. He’s for sure one of our most favorite DJ’s- and not just because he DJ’ed our wedding 9 years ago! The lighting was provided by Clifton Park Rental and the decor was provided by Experience in Schenectady. They were both obviously amazing choices! I couldn’t say enough words about the day so I will sum it up into one- PERFECTION!!
I can’t believe how lucky we are to have such wonderful couples- especially ones like Julie & Cinto! They had a beautiful day and a great reception at Wolfert’s Roost. Everything went so perfectly for them, and they deserved it!! Congratulations to you both!!!
Chris recently did a fabulous session with the very beautiful Leah Jung! I have never seen a woman wear her ink as beautifully as she does. I personally love (well done) tattoos. The colors, the meanings, a work of art ON you. And then we create the work of art OF you!
