Just a quick blog with a few samples from Chris’ recent sessions. First up we have some recent “Star for a Day” sessions:

Next up we have a few recent engagement sessions!

Lastly we have a concept style image with Mike!

If you don't know us, Sawicki Studios is a husband & wife team with me (Jen!) and Chris. Our studio is located in Amsterdam, NY, but we serve the entire Capital Region from Albany to Saratoga Springs, NY. Chris specializes in High School Senior portraits, we both photograph weddings together and now do only a limited amount of baby/children/family portraits to try to keep up with the demand of our growing senior portrait and wedding business.
Chris is a master of lighting. His images are always way out of the box, cinematic and unlike anything you've ever seen. He is without a doubt a photographic "Rockstar" in this area! I like using as much natural lighting as possible, staying simple, yet beautiful, clean and timeless. This is why we make such a dynamic team! For more about us and our work, view the website at www.sawickistudios.com.

Chris recently did a fabulous session with the very beautiful Leah Jung! I have never seen a woman wear her ink as beautifully as she does. I personally love (well done) tattoos. The colors, the meanings, a work of art ON you. And then we create the work of art OF you!

It’s been a busy year- and our new studio kept us busy for a while! (so glad it’s finished!) Hopefully I will finally keep up with the blog more regularly. Throughout our blog, you will see our Senior Rep program participants- each in their own blog. If you are a high school senior, be sure to look for your school (in the title) so you know who to go to for the reps discount card! If you don’t see your school and are interested in being a rep, contact us for more info on how to be one and the great things you get for being one!!! info@sawickistudios.com
Here is a collection of a bunch of different recent (and winter time) sessions. We couldn’t blog everything, but this is a good handful!:

Some concept stuff for a church- went for a good/evil theme for a project.

A “Jasmine” type concept:

Here’s some promo work for Perth Ultimate Fitness!

Merrissa was recently crowned Miss Teen Mohawk Valley World and will be competing in April for Miss Teen New York World. You may have seen her in the Recorder (with one of the images shown below) There was no photo credit given in the paper- big surprise (it’s not the first time)! We wish her LOTS of luck in her upcoming pageant! And by the way- yes she is in a bathing suit in the middle of winter- this is not photo magic she’s just that awesome!!!

Yes, we have been having a heatwave in more ways than one! Hot, humid weather, and lots of gorgeous people! Here are a few samples of this weeks sessions. There are still two days left in the week which are full of even more sessions, so I will be back very soon to put up some more! First, here are some senior sessions!

And the busiest is yet to come! I apologize to everyone for neglecting the blog for so long! Kids are home for the summer, weddings are in full swing, and portrait season is at it’s peak! I have noticed some issues with our email. Occasionally it seems we are not getting emails. I’m not sure what is preventing certain emails from reaching us, or from reaching those we respond to, but every so often someone says they have written and we didn’t recieve it, or vice versa. If you have contacted us and haven’t received a response, please either try again, or give us a call! We apologize to anyone this has happened to!
So today was mine and Chris’ 8 year wedding anniversary! We had a great day and despite our being busy than ever, we are trying to do a lot of fun things as a family as this tends to take a back seat sometimes, sadly. We’ve also had lots and lots of rain lately. Bummer, huh?!! Well without further ado, here is a collection of collages featuring Chris’ recent work!!

Here is Amy, who modeled for the Ugg’s promotional shoot Chris was hired for. Yes, THE Ugg boots company!! And also an underwater one since Chris has been experimenting with underwater.

Here are Becky & Adam. They are one of our wedding couples for 2009 and as you can see, they are an awesome couple who are clearly fun to work with!!! Adam loves the Batman series, and Becky loves vintage!

Here is Eric Luper- an author in the area who writes novels for young adults. If you’d like to check him out, you can get to his website here:

And lastly, just a few non-people images that Chris took- a few of the many he has taken for the Amsterdam website for the Mayor Thane:

Whew! I think I need a nap after putting together this blog! And this isn’t even including any of MY recent sessions! I think I need to hire a full time person just to blog for us! (in time, I’m sure we will!!)
in keeping up the blog, that is!! SO many things going on, so I am putting up a little collage to summarize a bunch of recent sessions! We are also approaching a very busy weekend with 2 weddings and we both have a summer full o f sessions!! I am going to do my best to get some images up after each wedding/session so please keep checking back!
Here is a collage of some of Chris’ recent high school senior, model (and/or!) teen sessions:

I think I may be slacking on keeping up the blog, but honestly it is increasingly becoming impossible to keep up!! Here are some more “Star for a Day” clients, and a few others. The first two were taken today of a High School student who will be job shadowing Chris for a while. He wasn’t prepared for being photographed, but I love the way they came out anyhow!!

Chris has been so busy with people coming in for the “Star for a Day” sessions. In fact, we’ve both been so busy that I am combining a few from all 4 recent sessions into this one blog because I haven’t been able to post a blog after each session!
