It’s been a busy year- and our new studio kept us busy for a while! (so glad it’s finished!) Hopefully I will finally keep up with the blog more regularly. Throughout our blog, you will see our Senior Rep program participants- each in their own blog. If you are a high school senior, be sure to look for your school (in the title) so you know who to go to for the reps discount card! If you don’t see your school and are interested in being a rep, contact us for more info on how to be one and the great things you get for being one!!! info@sawickistudios.com

Here is a collection of a bunch of different recent (and winter time) sessions. We couldn’t blog everything, but this is a good handful!:

Amsterdam Armory

March 18, 2010

Chris did some photography work for the Amsterdam Armory. It’s a very cool castle that is now a bed and breakfast. Built in 1894 by the state of New York for the National Guard, Amsterdam Castle is a 36,000 square foot private residence listed on the National Register of Historic Places New York originally built 100 of these armories, of which nearly 50 are still in use by the National Guard. Other “sister” armories uses include a military museum (Saratoga), art gallery (Manhattan East Side), and a concert hall (Albany). This armory was decommissioned in 1995 and is the only armory converted into a home.

The “Catch-up” Blog!

November 12, 2009

I have figured out that being out of commission for even a short amount of time brings on a very tough game of catch-up! I would really like to keep all sessions in their own blogs, but it is so hard as there are just far too many!!! (not that I’m complaining!) The studio expansion is coming along, though I must say it was a risky decision doing this during the season of holiday portraits! Everything just seems like it’s in such disarray. I will be posting a blog with images of the finished product when it’s done. We can’t wait! So here we have children, babies, families, seniors, engagements, trash the dress, CHI promotion and Beech-Nuts grand opening  images all rolled up into one big blog! And one more announcement- we’ll be in the Gazette for a featured article in the Sunday paper, so be sure to pick one up!!!!
