Maternity- on a personal level!

We are excited to finally publicly announce that we are expecting! We have just announced to people we know (and Facebook) only about 5-7 weeks ago. I (Jen) suffered a miscarriage last May, a year to the day in fact, so we haven’t been too verbal about it until recently. We are now 25 weeks along with a baby boy! He is expected to arrive on August 22nd (scheduled delivery). No worries to any of our brides and grooms of this year, Chris will remain as the main photographer as he has the past few years and we will have an assistant who will take my place when I am no longer able to be there. As mentioned in a prior post, I will remain focused on our “behind-the-scenes” work such as album designs. (and much more!)

Since I tend to get HUGE with my pregnancies (our daughter was 9 lbs, .5 oz and 2 weeks early- and not by her choice! I also went full term with our twin boys) I decided that I wanted to do some maternity photos before I couldn’t fit into the camera frame!! So in addition to our announcement that we were so excited to share with you all, here are some of the maternity images that Chris took of me and my growing bump that we also wanted to share!! We did some of me alone, and some with our daughter on a different day.

1st of all Im sorry to hear about the miscarriage last year…BUT congrats on the coming of your son…These pictures that Chris took of you are wonderful..You look AMAZING!!!!!! Kayla Sommers

I had the privilege of photographing this very talented young girl. Kayla is an amazing singer and I can’t wait for her music to go public. She was also a very easy person to photograph, a nice natural confidence that translates beautifully in images. I had a ton of fun hanging out with and photographing her. Her website will be going live any day now. As soon as it hits I will post a link on here so you can hear her sing. Hair and make-up was done by the talented Destiny Slover of NVious Hair and Make-up Without further ado here is the girl with both looks and a voice!

New Blogsite and Other Changes!!

We have done away with our flash website and finally joined the modern world with a blogsite instead which is now completely compatible with mobile devices! We still have some changes to make, but these should be completed soon. We have also made the decision to focus more on weddings so we will no longer be limiting the amount of weddings we take per year as much as we have in the past. We are, however, limiting portraits instead. Don’t worry, Chris will still be doing Senior Portraits that he is known for with no limits (except for when we have no more availability!), but we are greatly reducing the other types of portraits we do such as babies and children. Also, I will no longer be photographing newborns for the time being. If anyone is looking for newborn portraits, you may feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to refer you to some wonderful photographers who do. We will also be having a new assistant for weddings during the mid-late summer and fall (and any other times I will not be able to be present) to take my place as an assistant. Chris will still be the main photographer as he has been the past few years so nothing will really change. I will remain focused on our “behind-the-scenes” work such as album designs. (and much much more!) We’ll elaborate more on why we are making these changes soon!

These are pretty minimal changes and they are all (mostly) positive! We look forward to our new direction and we hope you do too!!

Congratulations Lauren + Adam!

Another amazing wedding with an awesome couple! It’s always fun to photograph laid back people that are down for anything you throw at them. Lauren, Adam, and their bridal party were SO fun and energetic. We had a blast photographing their special day! Dj Jeff Richards had the party rocking all night!
