Our Mini-Sessions and Landon in 15 minutes!

Every year during our mini-sessions, there are always some concerns with what we can get within the time allotted which is typically 15 minutes. We decided to take our 19 month old toddler to Congress Park in Saratoga, one of this year’s locations, to show an example of what is possible! It may seem that he is highly cooperative and used to getting his photos taken. We assure you that this is NOT the case! We often scream his name or sing some theme songs of shows he recognizes and yet he still won’t look at the camera. He is also very busy and gets bored easily. As you can see, we still got a lot of great shots- and we still have some we haven’t edited yet! (and yes, his eyes really are that blue!) For children, the best time to get those great shots is within the first 15 minutes of a regular session, so we will get them! As for older children and adults that can follow directions, we can get even more!!

Our mini-sessions are less than 2 weeks away, but there are still a few slots left! If you would like more information on them, just follow this link! http://www.sawickistudios.com/2014/03/spring-mini-sessions-2.html

Congratulations Lori & Hamid!

What an amazing way to kick off our 2014 wedding season! A beautiful Persian wedding with so many interesting elements to capture that it made this such an enjoyable event to photograph. Hamid’s attention to detail right up until the wedding started was impressive to say the least! The wedding and reception was located at the beautiful Hall of Springs. Lori looked amazing with her hair and make-up done by Destiny of Nvious hair and make-up. Flowers were by Mohican Flowers. DJ Polka out of NYC provided the awesome blend of Persian and American music. Pars Restaurant provided the Persian food and Mazzone Hospitality provided the rest. Hamid and Lori would also like to especially thank Nahid and Siavesh Razavi for making the sofreh agh, Mehran Sabzehi for the announcing of the sofreh agh and it’s cultural meaning and Shae Voorhees for all her planning and last minute help with the details.

Spring Mini-Sessions!

If you are anything like us, you can not wait until spring!! We have certainly had enough of winter, so as we dream of the nice warm sun, singing birds and blooming flowers, the thought of our spring mini-sessions came to mind and we decided to get right on it! They will be held on April 12th and 13th which is in 6 weeks- plenty of time for mother nature to turn this weather around! This year these will be held at Congress Park in Saratoga Springs  for our Saturday the 12th date, and City Hall in Amsterdam for our Sunday the 13th date and will be $99. (Yes you read that right, there aren’t any numbers missing!!) Whether you live close by to Congress or you come for a nice day trip to the ever-so-beautiful downtown Saratoga, there is always so much to do while you’re here and of course so many great spots to use for your portraits! If you live around Amsterdam and prefer to stay closer to home, our Sunday date is perfect for you! Top that with an amazing, affordable mini-session price and you really can’t beat it!

The $99 will include the 15 minute session and at least 10 different digital images. (usually many more depending on the cooperation of the individuals. You may book more than one slot if you prefer more time) Black & white versions are also included. Canine family members are welcome!! These sessions are not for newborns or babies that can not sit up on their own. (unless they will be held by someone in a family portrait) These images will be sent to you for download online and you may print them as you wish!
