Jayden and her family have been using our services for a very long time going back to about 2011- from her parent's wedding, her and her sisters high school senior portraits, and many family portrait sessions in between, it's been an honor to be a part of so many special moments and milestones through the years, and the beautiful wedding of Jayden and Richie is definitely no exception! We were already booked on their original chosen date, so we were so humbled by the fact that they changed their date to make sure that we were able to capture it for them. There is no higher compliment than that! So much love and care went into getting everything ready for the wedding. In fact, Jayden's father had just finished painting the deck and stairs the night before the big day- a true labor of love.
We were briefly joined by the incredible photographer, John Dolan, author of the book "The Perfect Imperfect" and photographer to many celebrities. His wife is good friends with the bride and he captured some of his own art as a gift to the couple. How amazing is that? To top it off, he is an incredibly nice guy too. It was such a pleasure meeting him and watching him work and even getting to look through his lens.
Just before dinner, the bride's father did a prayer followed by a moment of silence. They kept the silence going a bit longer than usual, and then you could hear a revving engine off in the distance. Everyone looked around, including Richie, wondering who was doing such a thing. It got louder and louder until Jayden's brother drove in with a brand new dirt bike- a gift to Richie from Jayden! Needless to say, he was shocked and even fell out of his chair! Definitely one of the coolest things we've ever seen at a wedding! The night ended with some fireworks and of course, amazing memories.
