Wedding Faq

How long have you been wedding photographers?
We've both been photographing weddings since May 2007 and have photographed over 350 weddings so far!
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
We will have some samples up on social media the next day so that you can get a little sneak peek (unless of course, you don't want us to!). Our editing process typically takes 6-8 weeks during the busy season. We prioritize quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations, so we try not to rush, although we totally understand the anticipation of receiving all of your final images and try to complete them as quickly as we can without compromising quality!
Are you insured?
Absolutely! We are insured with Hiscox Business Insurance. We can provide a certificate if one is needed for your venue, but please let us know as soon as possible as it may take some time to have one customized for your venue.
What is included in wedding coverage?
Wedding coverages all include the coverage of the event with your chosen amount of hours (our base coverage choices are 6, 8 and 10), and all of the edited, high-resolution, unwatermarked images (plus a b+w version of each) that you can download through your password-protected online gallery. Everything else is available as add-ons so that you can customize your own collection from the ground up to best suit your needs, This way, you only get what you REALLY want! Coverages with 8 or more hours includes 2 photographers (Chris + Jen).
We also provide a password-protected, personalized page for each couple which includes an e-session style guide and wedding day preparation tips as well as all of the gallery information when the final photos are ready. It's a one-stop for all of the things you'll need to prepare for your photos on the big day and everything in between!
What add-on options are available?
We currently have high-quality albums such as coffee table albums, storybook albums, parent albums, and custom USB & box set for the item choices, and for services we have add-on hours & engagement sessions. We may add on or make changes to our options, but whatever is available upon booking will still be available to you if any changes do occur.
Can we see the full pricing?
Absolutely! Reach out to us to see if we are available on your wedding date, and if we are, we can send you information that includes the full pricing guide!
How many images will we receive?
We produce around 100 edited images per hour of coverage plus a black & white version of each. A typical 8 hour coverage will have at least 800-1000 different images not including the black & white.
What is required to book you for our wedding?
We require a $750 retainer and completed contract to lock you into our calendar and then the day is all yours!
Do you do your own editing?
Yes! We do not outsource any of our editing and everything we do here at Sawicki Studios is all done by us alone!
Do you take any candid shots?
YES, LOTS! We know that we tend to showcase the more epic, polished, cinematic-type photos on our website & social media, but the majority of what we take at weddings is the candid, natural moments & details as they unfold. Formal photos only take up a small percentage of what we do! You can see some of our favorite candid moments in our portfolio!
Do you have back-up equipment?
For sure! We have multiple options of all of the important items just in case anything decides to give us some trouble. Our cameras all have dual card slots as well so that if one card fails, there is another that has a copy of all of the images that were taken.
Will we get the copyrights?
Copyright simply means that we are the original creators of the works we produce and that no one else can claim them as their own intellectual property nor can they sell, alter or give any other permissions regarding those works. This is why we retain the legal "copyrights". We do, however, give all clients explicit permission to post/use & print their images to their heart's content for themselves and to distribute to their friends and family!
Do you do other events on the same day?
Absolutely not! We would never schedule anything on the day of a wedding. Full attention to each event stays that way all day long, as this keeps us focused and in the flow for optimal creativity and tailoring to our clients on that day. Also, that would be quite tiring and we like to be on our best game!
Can we see a full gallery?
Yes, absolutely!! If you'd like to see one, let us know and we will send you the link and password to view one! If we have worked at your venue previously, we'd be happy to show you one from that venue.
We're very awkward in front of the camera, how can you help?
We know the feeling, we aren't a fan of getting our pictures taken either and are COMPLETELY awkward on the other side of the camera! What we do is guide you into natural interactions with each other, and if things are too intense, we'll have you make jokes with each other or crack one ourselves- anything to break to awkwardness and have you fall into just feeling joyous in the moment.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! Travel to locations that are significantly far from our location or have any type of added complication will require a customized travel fee based on distance, whether or not a stay overnight is required, transportation, etc.
Do you always photograph weddings together?
Most of the time, YES! With 8+ hours of coverage, we offer two photographers which is typically the both of us!
